About

First of all, thank-you for visiting my site and viewing my work.

I’ve been a designer for nearly twenty years. I am a graduate of Dalhousie (BFA, English, 1995) and NSCAD University (BDes, Honours, 1999).

Early in my career I worked for Atlantex Creative Works, a well-regarded fabrication company in Chezzetcook. There, I learned to design for displays, trade  show booths, interpretive panels, and large-format prints.

For the majority of my career, I’ve been a freelancer. Working alone, with design partners, or small teams, I’ve completed jobs for clients large and small including Atlantic Cat (now Toromont), Nautel Ltd, A. P. Reid Insurance Stores, Alweather Windows & Doors, Communications Nova Scotia, Tim Hortons, and Bedford Institute of Oceanography.

I’m also an illustrator with 8 published children’s books, 18 young adult book covers, 1 author-published book, and a variety of commercial and design-based projects.

In addition to with my freelance career, I am also a part time faculty member of NSCAD University where I teach design and illustration courses. It’s a great job. Very rewarding and inspiring.

My ideal working situation is to provide full creative agency services to clients who know that when they need a job done, I’m available, my turnaround times are decent, and my prices reasonable.
